Plan Your Orange County Vacation
WHAT IS STOCKED IN THE KITCHEN?
We provide all dinnerware and flatware, a variety of utensils for cooking/baking/serving/etc. Also included are major and minor appliances including toaster, mixer, blender, coffee maker. Crock pot and rice cooker are available by request in advance. Two rolls of paper towels, Kitchen sponge, starter pack of Dishwasher Detergent, Trash Bags and Hand Soap are included. Once these are gone, you will need to purchase additional.
WHAT TYPE OF COOKING UTENSILS AND DISHES DO YOUR HOMES HAVE?
Our homes are complete with enough glassware and dishes to serve the number of guests the home allows. There is an assortment of pots and pans for your normal cooking needs. If you are planning on cooking a special meal and have need of something more exotic like a turkey roasting pan, etc., you may want to bring them along with you. If not sure, please ask in advance. We keep certain items in inventory and may be able to provide it complimentary for your stay.
WHAT TYPE OF CONDIMENTS DO YOUR HOMES INCLUDE?
In general, our homes are not stocked with condiments (ketchup, mayo, mustard, sugar). Occasionally, a homeowner or previous guest has been kind enough to leave salt, pepper, coffee, tea, etc. Please bring spices you’ll need for your meals.
WHAT APPLIANCES ARE IN THE UNITS?
Our homes include Television (in most homes more than 1), Hair Dryer, Wireless Internet (Free WiFi), Washer/Dryer, Dishwasher, Oven/Stove, Microwave, Blender, Toaster, Coffee Maker, DVD Player, Gas BBQ (some with propane), Crockpot, Iron and Ironing Board. Please inquire for amenities you don’t see listed or specific to each home.
WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST WE BRING?
Orange County has an average temperature of about 70 degrees, so you should be ok in about anything. If you will be close to the beaches, you might want to bring a light sweater or jacket. In November thru May it might be a good idea to pack a warmer sweater and jacket (and maybe a waterproof jacket just in case, although we have very little rain).
Things you might not think to bring, but should:
- Wetsuits (if you plan on surfing)
- Slippers
- Saran wrap for leftovers
- Favorite spices or condiments
- Beach or sand toys
- Beach umbrella
- DVD’s
- Ice Chest
WHAT ABOUT TOWELS AND SHEETS?
Sheets are provided for each bed and pull-out sofa. We do not provide sheets for the pack ‘n play or crib.
We include enough towels and washcloths for each guests. We also provide beach/pool towels. Laundering of the beach/pool towels is the responsibility of each guest/group. If you feel you will need additional linens, you may contact our office to add a customized package.
WHAT TYPE OF TOILETRIES DO YOUR HOMES INCLUDE? HOW ABOUT TOILET PAPER?
Each bathroom includes two rolls of toilet paper. A starter package of Body Wash, Shampoo and Conditioner are provided. After these are gone, you will need to provide your own along with any other paper products or toiletries you may need for your stay.
DO YOUR HOMES HAVE AIR CONDITIONING OR HEAT?
All of our homes have heat, most have air conditioning (depending on the area). Several of our homes also have ceiling fans. Some of our homes in the beach areas have a wonderful ocean breeze that allows you to open the windows to cool off the home.
DO ALL OF YOUR HOMES HAVE SPAS? OR POOLS?
Several of our homes have spas attached to the pool. Other homes have a separate Hot Tub. Please check the property description for each home’s specific amenities.
CAN WE HEAT THE POOL FOR JUST PART OF OUR STAY?
No, it must be heated for your entire stay. Pool heating is an optional/additional fee,
WHAT TEMPERATURE IS USED FOR POOL HEATING? FOR SPA HEATING?
Our pools are heated to 84 degrees. If you want the temperature higher, it can be increased to a maximum of 89 degrees for an additional $5 per day.
The maximum temperature for our spas is set at 104 degrees. Some spas are a part of the Pool and some are separate free-standing Hot Tubs.
OOPS! THINGS HAPPEN!
Our homes are checked and prepared for each arrival. Sometimes things break or don’t operate correctly with no advance notice. We can’t guarantee that everything will work 100% of the time. However, if there is a problem CALL US IMMEDIATELY and we will make every effort to make sure everything is working correctly. Refunds are not given for failure of appliances and household items. We cannot be responsible for issues beyond our control, i.e. power outage, weather caused issues, travel schedule delays).
If something breaks, notify us right away or leave a note upon departure (coffee cups, etc).
We make sure lightbulbs are operating when you arrive. However, should a lightbulb go out please contact us right away. We have extra light bulbs stored inside each home.
WE LEFT SOMETHING BEHIND. HOW DO WE GET IT BACK?
Once you realize you have left something behind, please contact us right away. Our Housekeeping Team reports any items left by guests, we will contact you to make arrangements for their return. We are not responsible for items left behind, although we will do our best to retrieve missing items. The cost of return shipping is the responsibility of guests.
PEST CONTROL?
Our homes are serviced monthly for pest control. However, we cannot guarantee there will never be ants or bugs in the home, they can enter through opened doors and windows. Please do not leave food on the counters or open food containers out as this will attract ants and bugs. Our pest control company provides complimentary service in between scheduled visits, call us if there is a problem.
IS THERE DAILY MAID SERVICE?
No, our homes are your “Home Away From Home.” As such, we clean after your departure. Mid-stay cleaning is available at an additional cost and is required for stays of certain lengths and at certain homes. This service will be scheduled individually. All of our homes have laundry room or washer and dryer area so you can freshen up your towels or linens at your convenience.
HOW MUCH PARKING IS AVAILABLE? AND WHERE?
Parking is limited and the number of cars allowed to park on site is specific to each home. Many homes have restricted parking spaces depending on the garage size, driveway length and location. Detailed parking information will be included with your property details, in the Reservation Agreement and in the Pre-Arrival email. RVs are Trailers are not allowed at any time. Guests are responsible
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE THE CHECK-IN DETAILS? DO I NEED TO MEET SOMEONE OR PICK UP KEYS?
About 1-2 weeks before arrival you will receive your check in details. Our homes have keyless locks or lockboxes. If your reservation is paid in full and you have signed the necessary documents, you will be given the code and check-in details in advance. For those homes that have gated entries you will be given the details to access the property. We are always available to assist if needed.
CAN I CHECK-IN EARLY OR CHECK-OUT LATE?
Usually no in the summer and peak seasons. Occasionally in the off-season we can accommodate these requests. Please ask prior to your arrival or upon arrival to our area. Be prepared to enjoy other area activities while waiting for your home to be ready for check-in. Exceptions to the check-in and check-out times must be agreed in advance and be in writing. When possible, we do offer late check-out at an additional charge.
WHAT ELSE DO YOU SUPPLY IN YOUR HOMES?
We provide Trash Can Liners (For Kitchen and Baths), Laundry Detergent, Dishwasher Detergent, Hand Soap, Kitchen Sponge and paper products to get started.
DO YOU SUPPLY ALL LINENS?
Yes, we provide all bed and bath linens. We also provide pool towels. For homes in the beach areas, beach towels are provided.
WHAT IS THE PARKING SITUATION?
Because of City Regulations, each home has specific parking requirements.
- San Clemente Properties – Each home has assigned Garage spaces. Villa Granada condos also have some guest parking available.
- Huntington Beach Properties – SeaBreeze Cottage street parking IS allowed.
- Sunset Beach Properties – SurfSide Retreat street parking IS allowed
- Anaheim Properties – Guests must park in the driveway, cars may NOT extend over the driveway
- Sherwood Village Homes – Cars must park in the attached two-car garage, NO additional guest parking is allowed.
Parking is important, be sure to ask if you are unsure whether your vehicle fits in the allowed space or complies with the local parking requirements. Parking violations are responsibility of the Guest, fines will be deducted from the Security Deposit.
ARE MY PETS ALLOWED?
Our homes are pet free and have NO PET policy.
IS SMOKING ALLOWED? WHAT ABOUT CIGARS? VAPES/ELECTRONIC CIGARETTES?
All of our homes are NO SMOKING. Cigars, cigarettes, electronic cigarettes are not allowed in the home or on the property.
