We had everything we needed, and above all (the view and location was amazing. You really don't need a car. Additionally, there is a free trolly that stops right outside the gate of the complex. The furniture is comfortable, and the kitchen has all the cooking supplies you will need if you feel like cooking. Hot tub + heated pool if you don't feel like going to the beach. The grounds are kept very nice, the complex is very quiet. We hope to be back soon!

This Rental was perfect to accommodate my family during our stay. It was 1hr from the San Diego airport. So many restaurants within a mile and walkable if you can walk the hills. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in San Clemente at Villa Granada 400. The view is fantastic. The property was very comfortable (the sofa had a couple tears in it). It is just a short walk to enjoy a meal at the Fisherman bar on the pier. The kids enjoyed using the heated pool. For the most part, the complex is very quiet.
Our one issue was that the elevator stopped working for part of a day. We could easily take the stairs, but we had one person using a walker and they couldn't get upstairs to the unit.
I would definitely stay here again.

You can never tell by pictures alone, what the rental is really like, until you are there. Well, the pictures were definitely was great. The condo was updated and it had everything you could possibly need, just like you were at home. We would get up in the morning and sit out on the balcony drinking out morning coffee and admired the view of the pier and ocean. Lots of space for the 5 of us, and plenty of closets and storage. The rear view was overlooking the pool, which we took advantage of everyday. The building was immaculate and very well kept, and it was great to have 2 garage parking spaces too. Walk to Del Mar or to the beach, perfect location.

Couch is filthy, Property needs paint, Kitchen is great. It is close to being really nice but should be painted and cleaned pool area is very nice
We did not have a key to garage needed to call Valerie, she said she would bring it that evening did not show up until next day after I called her again. Not a huge problem. I just expect communication should happen when there is a problem.

Villa Grande is located in a beautiful, clean and secure complex with a sparkling pool and spa for relaxing in after a day at the beach. It's an easy walk down to the pier or up Del Mar to the many boutique shops and restaurants. The condo is spacious and well appointed fro both long-term or short stays.

As a young family with two young boys, our rental was just perfect for us, offering us clean modern furnishings and all the comforts of home. The villa complex offered a really great pool with WARM heated water! The direct view of the Ocean and the Pier was just spectacular. We’ve rented from Valerie previously and have come to expect nothing but the best from her properties.

However it was quite hot & there was no A/C so we had to open the bedroom windows/blinds, which were rusty & hard to use. The bedrooms were warm & stuffy, and we had trouble sleeping due to noise from motorcycles, cars, people partying, etc.

The kitchen faucet was broken, and we were told it would be fixed but was not.

Before we even stepped foot in the apartment, we were sternly commanded to review the rules for the elevator, rules for the pool, etc. We certainly understand the need for policies, but please be more welcoming to your weary guests and just post them in the apartment.

For the price we paid for this rental, we should have received more laundry soap, toilet paper, and dishwasher tablets. Yes, we were "warned" but 2 loads of laundry for 4 people for a week is not enough, particularly when we were asked us to wash beach towels before we left. We're not rationing for the war. Go to Costco, buy them in bulk, make everyone happy.

Finally, it took longer than expected to receive our rental deposit due to some kind of glitch.

We were disappointed that the fireplace was broken (weather was unseasonably cold and we would have loved to use it), and the cable went out - both issues went unanswered when I texted management.

We love San Clemente and had an awesome February and March in this amazing condo. It is in wonderful condition, well equipped and has lots of amenities. Beautifully maintained condo in heart of San Clemente. Wonderful view of the ocean and Pier looking through the gorgeous floor to ceiling windows or from the outside balcony. Luxury kitchen and bathrooms(one with a walk-in shower, other with full bath), and beach decor make one feel like they are staying at a resort. Steps to the nice beach (for tanners, swimmers and surfers galore) in one direction and the quaint town of San Clemente with wonderful shops and restaurants in the other direction. Condo amenities were wonderful too with heated pool and hot tub. Very safe area and ideal for families of all ages. (No worries in letting the teenagers going to the beach on their own.) Perfect for those who may have some physical challenges with elevator to and from all floors and the underground garage. Condo fully stocked with washer, dryer, washer, all cooking supplies, towels, beach towels, linens, pillows, cable, internet. Very convenient to grocery store, highway and attractions. Valerie was a pleasure to work with and I could call her anytime with questions. I have stayed in many places with my family and this ranks tops in value for location, amenities and beauty. We had a great time visiting San Clemente and staying at this condo. The location is great - you can walk to the beach and the shops. The pool is well heated in the complex and we also enjoyed the community BBQ. Overall the condo was well stocked with kitchen utensils and towels. Overall was a great place to rent and we would love to rent here again!

My daughters and I enjoyed our say at 400 Villa Granada! The view off the large deck is the best part of this rental, and the kitchen is wonderful! My girls enjoyed the massive sectional and we all slept comfortably. The location is wonderful - easy access to the beach and a short walk to the old town shopping and dining (Nick's was AMAZING!) We were disappointed that the fireplace was broken (weather was unseasonably cold and we would have loved to use it), and the cable went out - both issues went unanswered when I texted management.

We loved our stay at this property and would definitely stay here again. San Clemente is such a cute and charming town my husband and I think we just found our idea retirement place, cute shops, great food, and nice people. We felt very at home and very welcome! The condo was very clean and in a great location. The beds in the master and second bedroom were very comfortable. The den pull-out bed is ok for younger kids, not so much for adults. An added suggestion to the owner would be to maybe a piece of foam on top of the mattress so you don't feel the springs in your back, this would make all the difference in the world.

A few things to note: We brought our own beach towels, however, there were nice towels available at the condo if you don't have much room to pack them. There are a few things not available you may want to consider bringing. Cooler, beach chairs, and beach umbrella. Also any other beach items that would make your beach trip more enjoyable. :)

The property was as pictured, with a beautiful view of the beach & pier and was easy walking distance to restaurants & shops.

However it was quite hot & there was no A/C so we had to open the bedroom windows/blinds, which were rusty & hard to use. The bedrooms were warm & stuffy, and we had trouble sleeping due to noise from motorcycles, cars, people partying, etc.

The kitchen faucet was broken, and we were told it would be fixed but was not.

Before we even stepped foot in the apartment, we were sternly commanded to review the rules for the elevator, rules for the pool, etc. We certainly understand the need for policies, but please be more welcoming to your weary guests and just post them in the apartment.

For the price we paid for this rental, we should have received more laundry soap, toilet paper, and dishwasher tablets. Yes, we were "warned" but 2 loads of laundry for 4 people for a week is not enough, particularly when we were asked us to wash beach towels before we left. We're not rationing for the war. Go to Costco, buy them in bulk, make everyone happy.

Finally, it took longer than expected to receive our rental deposit due to some kind of glitch.
